On 1 October, Defenders' Day, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed decrees promoting five military officers to the rank of brigadier general.

Details: The promoted officers are:
- Viktor Zaiets, Head of the Military Counterintelligence Department of the Security Service of Ukraine;
- Mykola Popovych, Head of the Operational and Investigative Activities Directorate at the Administration of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine;
- Anton Zadorozhnii, Head of the Northern Kyiv Territorial Directorate of the National Guard of Ukraine;
- Ihor Obolienskyi, Commander of the Khartiia 2nd Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine;
- Serhii Prudchenko, First Deputy Head of the Security Service's Military Counterintelligence Department.
