Ukrainian Navy's 30th Marine Corps gets new commander

Colonel Serhii Shatalov, 33, commander of the 37th Marine Brigade, has been appointed to lead the 30th Marine Corps of the Ukrainian Navy.

Details: Hromadske reported that Defence Minister Yevhen Khmara signed the relevant order on 22 September.

Ukrainska Pravda sources confirmed the appointment. They said Colonel Shatalov is formally taking up the post on 23 September.

Another source said the previous commander, Major General Dmytro Deliatytskyi, is being promoted to another position.

Serhii Shatalov had commanded the 37th Marine Brigade since autumn 2024.
