Six killed and 59 injured in Russian attack on Kharkiv – photos

The number of people injured in the latest Russian attack on Kharkiv has risen to 59, and six people have been killed.

Quote from Syniehubov: "Today, 59 people have been injured as a result of the Russian attack.

Thirty-five people sustained blast injuries and the others suffered cuts and lacerations, injuries caused by shattered glass, bruises and shock."

Details: Syniehubov said three children are among those injured: an 11-year-old girl and a 15-year-old boy suffered blast injuries, and a 15-year-old girl is suffering from shock.

Thirty people remain in hospital, three of them are in an extremely serious condition.

Syniehubov later added that the body of the sixth person killed has been found.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Russia attacked Kharkiv's Slobidskyi district with guided aerial bombs. Hits were recorded at civilian businesses and near a multi-storey residential building.

Two large fires broke out: one at a warehouse and the other at an industrial building. High-rise buildings and cars were damaged in a residential area.

Background: On 5 October, Russian forces attacked Kharkiv with at least three guided aerial bombs and a combat drone.
