Russian strikes cause power outages in seven Ukrainian oblasts

New power cuts have been recorded in seven regions of the country as of this morning as a result of a massive Russian strike.

Details: Power cuts were recorded in Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Mykolaiv, Chernihiv, Sumy and Dnipropetrovsk oblasts.

Quote: "Emergency recovery work is already underway wherever the security situation permits. Energy workers are doing everything possible to reconnect all consumers as quickly as possible."

Details: Due to heavy rain and wind, consumers in Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv and Chernihiv oblasts are without power this morning. Regional power distribution companies' repair crews are already restoring damaged power lines.

Electricity consumption has increased. On 22 September, as of 09:30, its level was 4.5% higher than on the previous workday.

Energy workers ask consumers to shift their active electricity usage to the hours between 10:00 and 22:00.
