Russian attacks on Kyiv railway: Ukrainian Railways chief urges caution and advises passengers what to do

Oleksandr Pertsovskyi, Chairman of the Board of Ukrzaliznytsia (Ukrainian Railways), has warned that railway facilities in Kyiv remain under Russian attack, urged passengers to exercise extreme caution and provided recommendations on what to do in the event of a threat.

• At any level of air-raid warning, passengers must leave railway facilities and proceed to shelters. Even during a yellow-level alert, passengers may board and disembark only via the underground areas of Kyiv Central Railway Station. The same applies at Darnytsia station.
• Passengers who miss their train for security reasons need not worry. "We will refund 100% of the ticket price, and you can take the next train. Staying safe is a priority," Pertsovskyi said.

"The consequences of the attacks are being dealt with promptly, but we are also moving people to safety when there are renewed threats, so this is affecting the punctuality of train departures from Kyiv. Follow status updates online on all our platforms," the Ukrzaliznytsia chairman said.

Pertsovskyi also noted that, as of now, one railway worker in Kyiv had sustained shrapnel wounds in the Russian attacks while returning home after his shift.

"He is in hospital, with our people by his side. He is receiving all the necessary assistance," Pertsovskyi said.
