Japan provides Ukraine with US$51.5m

Ukraine has secured US$51.5 million from the Japanese government under the World Bank's THRIVE Project to develop the healthcare system.

Details: The funds have already been transferred to the state budget and will be used to improve the efficiency of the medical guarantees programme and strengthen the institutional capacity of the National Health Service of Ukraine.

The total THRIVE programme is worth US$1.2 billion, of which Ukraine has already received US$449 million.
