GOP Senator John Kennedy says Trump rejected a deal that could have ended TSA funding issues
Sen. John Kennedy says Democrats offered to reopen the government with funding for most agencies, but without ICE. According to Kennedy, he and Sen. Ted Cruz supported taking the deal, and it was sent to President Trump, who rejected it, saying “no deals.”
Kennedy also indicated Republicans planned to handle ICE funding separately through reconciliation, which would allow them to pass it without Democratic votes.
