The European Union has provided €228 billion to support Ukraine since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion.

Source: European Pravda, citing European Commissioner Valdis Dombrovskis

Quote from Dombrovskis: "The EU is doing its part: 228 billion euros in support to [Ukraine] since the start of the full scale invasion, and more to come. At the 10th Ukraine Ministerial Roundtable in Bangkok, I conveyed that it is essential that international partners step in with their share."

Details: In particular, on Wednesday 14 October, the European Commission allocated €2.86 billion to Ukraine for drones, missiles and urgent battlefield needs. These funds will reach Ukraine as part of the defence component of a €90 billion loan.

The funds will be directed towards purchasing drones, air defence equipment, missiles, radar stations, electronic warfare systems and ammunition.

The EU insists that Ukraine must continue to implement the relevant reforms to receive further financial disbursements.

Background: On 18 September, the EU transferred a €3.3 billion tranche to Ukraine under the €90 billion Ukraine Support Loan.
