Drones attack Russia's Krasnodar Krai: Ilsky oil refinery catches fire – photos, video

Drones have attacked the Ilsky oil refinery in Russia's Krasnodar Krai. A fire has broken out at the facility.

Details: According to monitoring Telegram channels, the attack began around midnight. Local residents confirmed that explosions had been heard in Krasnodar and air defence systems had been responding. It was also reported that a fire had broken out at the oil refinery.

Eyewitnesses said that the Ilsky oil refinery named after A. Shamar in the settlement of Ilsky in the Severskaya district, 50 km from Krasnodar, had caught fire.

The refinery has an annual processing capacity of around 6.6 million tonnes of oil. It is one of the leading oil-refining facilities in southern Russia, with its products used, among other things, to supply Russian forces. It receives crude oil through the Transneft oil pipeline system.

There is currently no official confirmation of this information.

Background: Explosions were heard in the Russian cities of Ulyanovsk and Perm on the night of 24-25 September. A factory and an oil refinery came under attack.
